In the quiet landscape of Finchingfield dusk settles with a softness that seems to suspend the world. From this pale light the geese emerge as if rising from a blue serenity that belongs to both colour and emotion. In this work I wanted to show how a moment of observation can unfold into an inner experience, how a flock becomes more than form and movement and turns into a quiet state of awareness.
The birds appear through layers of ultramarine and translucent light, their bodies almost dissolving yet keeping a firm contour that guides the eye between outer motion and inner stillness. The warm glow above the village interrupts the cool scene and creates a delicate threshold where time seems to pause. Each shifting veil of colour carries the patience of long looking, the slow act of allowing vision to become meaning.
